What we aim for
Borderly should work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, larger text or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on the website and in the iPhone and Android apps.
What we’ve done so far
- A “Skip to content” link, and a visible outline on whatever has keyboard focus.
- Colour contrast chosen to be readable, and text that grows with your browser or phone settings.
- Labelled form fields, and icons that are hidden from screen readers when they’re only decoration.
- The apps use the phone’s own controls, so VoiceOver, TalkBack and larger text work with them.
We haven’t had an independent audit yet, so there will be things we’ve missed.
If something doesn’t work for you
Tell us at borderlydev@gmail.com what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We’ll reply within two working days, and in the meantime your advisor can help you by phone, video call or message — whichever works best for you.
